Custom Ordering Info

ABOUT
I create custom, one of a kind animal art for clients.  Each individual
portrait is produced on acid free archival cold-pressed watercolor paper or artist's quality cradled pine panel.
Clients can choose between two options of watercolor and gouache on paper, or gouache and acrylic on wood.

Both are great, it really just depends on what sort of art object you'd like to have.  We can always discuss it.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
I work entirely from photographs - as you may know,
animals do not always sit still very well!
I like to suggest that a client e-mails me about 2 - 5
photographs of their animal / pet / best friend so we can
have a small range to select just the right image
for your piece.

DO YOU NEED A SPECIAL SORT OF PHOTOGRAPH?
Select images where you can see your animal's face clearly,
and where they are preferably not in motion.
As for photo quality, of course, higher quality digital photos
are always appreciated, but they are not 100% necessary.
I have been able to make portraits work from cell phone
photos and Facebook photos without a problem.
So, if you are thinking of giving the gift of a portrait
without alerting your friend, this is a very real option.

WILL YOU PAINT MULTIPLE ANIMALS?
Of course!  I am happy to put your pets together in one portrait,
either from one photo or easily with two separate photographs
if need be.

DO YOU ONLY DO CATS & DOGS?
Absolutely not.  As a professional artist, I have a wide
range of subjects that I paint, and that goes for my
pet portraits as well!  I'm always excited about something
new, so send me whatever animals are dear to you!
